Movie Nights

Come to an exclusive in-house screening of a You Connection film, followed by teaching and commentary on the film's powerful message!

These are screenings of existing YC films from our YC Web streaming site, which are available for viewing on your own. However, these Movie Nights allow you to view the film with an audience, and then hear a powerful teaching from director Matt Kramer and other guests, specifically about the biblical topics presented in the film. â€‹

THURS, JAN 15 @ 7pm

Rainbow Shoes is one of YC's most powerfully subversive films. Set entirely in a whimsical backstage, this highly experimental film presents the tale of a peddler who offers magical shoes, but with ghastly consequences, as the peddler turns out to be the devil himself. Though outwardly childlike and theatrical, the film is a dark, chilling allegory in the style of The Screwtape Letters, exploring deep, hard-hitting topics of identity, the devil, hell, temptation, and society's overt acceptance of sin and corruption.

Come for refreshments, the 90-minute film screening, and teaching/commentary following, on the topic of Christianity today- knowing the Word, believing the Word, and standing up for the Word in a loose, immoral culture.

THURS, APR 9 @ 7pm

Get your groove on and head back to 1968 for the musical drama Bubblegum Dream Machine, about a young band that gets radically converted by a bunch of "Jesus Freaks", and then has to decide between faith or fame. It's a fun but powerfully moving pastiche of The Monkees, The Archies, A Hard Day's Night, Yellow Submarine, and those trippy Krofft "children's" shows like Pufnstuff and The Bugaloos.

Come for refreshments, the 75-minute film screening, and teaching/commentary following, on the topic of the Jesus Movement in the late 1960s and comparing it with the move that God is doing today- with Gen Z, at colleges, and all across culture!

Book of Martyrs Final.png

THURS, OCT 22 (in 2026) @ 7pm

The very first film adaptation of Foxe's classic work, this is a fictional variation about a church group that becomes stranded at an abandoned house, where a mysterious assailant begins picking them off one by one. It is a heart-pulsing and chilling exploration into the true-life martyrdom of Christians throughout the centuries.

Come for refreshments, the 65-minute film screening, and teaching/commentary following, on missions, evangelism, and how the church is spreading the Gospel today, both in America and globally.
